All girls attend the government schools in the vicinity, additional coaching in weak subjects are given at the Home in the afternoons. Qualified teachers help these children to catch up with basics missed during their transition period to the Home.

Special Attention given to counselling of children who have been vulnerable to social setbacks during their childhood. Children are also trained in sewing, and arts and crafts to display their potential talents. Information technology is being taught in order to face the challenges of the modern word. Annual exhibitions and awards are made to promote and encourage the children. Yoga classes help the children in their physical well-being.

The children are taken out on annual excursions according to the situation in the country.

The activities of the Home for girls are all monitored by the Department of probation and child care and it is the guidelines of the department that we adhere to for the safety and wellbeing of the girls under our care.

A savings account for each child is maintained with finances provided by well-wishers as a security for each child that will be handed over at the time of marriage. This has been very useful to all children leaving the Home.

The girls who absolutely do not have any parent or family are totally taken care of by the CMLU.
