Raseena, a bright and hardworking student from our CMLU, achieved the best results in the recent A/L examination, making us all incredibly proud, Alhamdulillah. As a recognition of her outstanding achievement, the principal of St. Clare’s College held a special assembly to honor her success. During the event, Raseena was warmly appreciated for her dedication and excellence, serving as an inspiration to all her fellow students and sisters at the Home.
The President of the Ceylon Moor Ladies ‘Union together with the executive Committee members and the Home Board members felicitated Raseena and Habeeba for their remarkable performance in their A/L examinations. President Mrs. Mirza Junaid handed over gift vouchers on behalf of the committee Members. Habeeba has already enrolled at Esoft for IT education and Raseena is following a nursing course until her Cut off marks are out, to enter university. The girls appreciate the opportunities given to them at the Home to pursue their potentials.
Members hosted an Ifthar with the children on 7th March 2025. The Children presented a colorful Islamic event and a young CMLU member Maryam Irshard made a presentation on the significance of Ramazan.
This gives us an opportunity to thank all members who helped us to organise the Ifthar. We also thank our generous well-wishers who unstintingly pledged to provide all meals during this holy month of Ramazan. Certainly, Allah’s blessings will be showered upon them.
