Love Changes Everything . . . . . . . . . .

The Home for Girls is an institution that answers to the call of vulnerable Muslim children in distress. To brighten the world sunlight is essential likewise, my world is brightened up by the CMLU Home for Girls which is a gift from Allah (SWT).

I was separated from my parents at the age of 9 when I was brought to this Home where I have gained an enormous amount of experience until I completed my school studies. I also got skills training on patch work, cookery and various crafts. The modesty of being a girl child, a teenager and a young lady and to discipline ourselves with good morals was imparted to us by our CMLU mothers.

After completion of my higher studies I am now employed in a private institution. The courage and strength that I possess today is due to the effort made to build us up into good women in society.  From my childhood at the Home I remember being taught that discipline with Islamic values is important to grow up as a responsible woman in society. This experience has moulded me into who I am today. Alhamdullillah! Currently,   I am reading for my Masters with the support of my CMLU mothers.

During the period I was at the Home for Girls I learnt good manners, ethics and how to face challenges through Islam. We all had good medical attention, freedom of expression, educational support and also our Aunties were actively listening and sharing our joys and sorrows as well. Now I am the Night Assistant here and I am happy to serve the Home. Even when I am with my family I keep remembering the girls in the Home and I feel they need me to be with them more often in the Home.

Our CMLU mothers gave us the love, attention and protection that we ought to get as children. It was by Allah’s will that I was deprived the love and attention of my own parents, but all praises due to Allah, He has given me several mothers and this makes me feel that I am luckier than the other children in the world, because even now my Aunties of CMLU are my mentors.

I pray that Allah (SWT) will brighten, strengthen and give Good health to all the mothers at the CMLU Home for girls for providing assistance to a destitute girl like me and all at the Home.
